Colombo, June 7 -- On June 9, starting at 7 p.m., Sri Lanka Cricket will hold their prominent yearly cricket award ceremony at the Cinnamon Life Hotel in Colombo. This event aims to celebrate and recognize the exceptional performances of Sri Lankan cricketers who have excelled both internationally and domestically throughout the year 2024.

Following a gap of six years, this key cricket award show—which honors both male and female athletes—is back. It aims to provide substantial encouragement to the players and acts as a fitting recognition of their accomplishments. This year marks the first time that the Home Lands Group of Companies has sponsored this esteemed event.

Key honors at the event will include Men's Cricketer of the Year and Women's Cricketer of the Year, along with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Within the Domestic Cricket segment, athletes who distinguished themselves in cricket matches organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), including events like the Major Club T20 Championship, Major Club One Day Tournament, Major Club Three-Day Competition, and the Major Club Women’s Invitation Fifty-over Trophy, will receive accolades during the awards ceremony.
