- The Unit Reskrim of Polsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Polresta Manado explained the role of a woman with the initial RK in the case of alleged human trafficking crimes (TPPO).

The disclosure of the case on board the ship KM UKI RAYA 04, heading to Ternate–Falabisahaya, North Maluku Province, on Thursday (30/10/2025) around 15:30 WITA.

Where there are three female teenagers with initials J.M. (15), J.A. (16), and N.B. (18) suspected to be victims of human trafficking, who will be smuggled by ship and employed as Lady Companions (LC) in North Maluku.

It is surprising that they are all underage, yet the suspect R.K tried to deceive the police by making a fake ID.

That was confirmed by the Head of Manado Port Area Police Station, Ipda Juan Rumbajan, accompanied by the Spokesperson of the Police Station, Iptu Agus Haryono.

Because the minors are the perpetrators, they made fake ID cards by changing their birth years so that the victims appear to be adults.

"The perpetrator made a fake ID through a broker he knew via Facebook, so the fake ID was made," said Juan on Monday (11/3/2024).

Juan revealed that RK made a fake ID card for Rp 200,000.

"So for the KTP, it's 200,000 rupiah, and the money comes from the cafe owner who will employ these victims," he said.

They added the four of them and were secured to the Mako Polsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Manado along with their personal belongings for further examination.

"Polresta Manado through Polsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Manado emphasized its commitment to continue cracking down on all forms of human trafficking, and also urged the community to be alert to unclear job offers that may potentially lead to exploitation crimes," he concluded.

Bunga (15) is still suffering from trauma after being detained by the police of Pelabuhan Manado Police Station in Wenang Utara Village, Wenang District, Manado City, North Sulawesi Province (Sulut), on Thursday (10/30/2025) around 15:30 WITA.

Three teenagers suspected to be victims of human trafficking (HT) were intercepted by security forces at Manado Port, specifically on a ship heading to Ternate-Falabisahaya, North Maluku Province (Malut), on Thursday (30/10/2025), around 15:30 WITA.

Manado Port is located in Wenang Utara Village, Wenang District, Manado City, North Sulawesi Province (Sulut).

The three teenagers were successfully detained by the officers of the Unit Reskrim Polsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Manado.

This police security activity began when the duty officers received information about a group of young women who had already boarded the ship and were suspected of being smuggled to work outside the region.

The personnel of Pelabuhan Manado Police Station immediately went to the location and conducted an inspection to follow up on the report.

Around 16:45 WITA, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit together with his members successfully detained three teenagers suspected to be victims of human trafficking.

Meanwhile, one of them, a woman who was also detained, is suspected to be the perpetrator with the initial RK.

The four were then taken to the Mako Polsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Manado along with their personal belongings for further examination.

Kapolsek Kawasan Pelabuhan Manado Ipda Juan Rumbajan, accompanied by Iptu Agus Haryono, Head of Public Relations, explained that according to the victim's statement, they were promised to work as lady companions (LC) with a monthly payment of Rp3 million.

Before departing, the victims stayed at the house of the suspect RK in the Paal Dua area, Manado.

There is a strong suspicion that there is involvement between the cafe operators and the ship's crew in this human trafficking activity.

This is because the victims embarked on the same ship in several previous trips.

"The four women, including one suspect, have been handed over to the PPA Unit of the Sat Reskrim Police Station of Manado for further investigation," said the Chief of Manado Port Area Police.

Among the evidence seized are three copies of fake ID cards and one mobile phone belonging to the suspect R.K.
