But unfortunately, these advantages disappeared in the last 10 minutes of the first half. Zambia scored 3 goals, two of which came from Abel Nyirongo's feet (35', 37') and one goal from a shot (42').

In the second 45 minutes, the Garuda Muda team was not without chances. Mierza had two opportunities, but none were converted into goals.

Fortunately for the Indonesia U17 National Team, the goal was canceled by the referee because Simute was in an offside position.

Soon after, it was Indonesia U17 National Team's turn to launch an attack.

It started with an in-bound pass to Fabio, which was blocked by a Zambian player, and the ball fell into Lucas Lee's feet.

Lucas Lee fired a close-range shot aimed at the goalpost, but was blocked by Zambian goalkeeper Chitambala.

After that, Zambia intensified the pressure on the Garuda Muda defense and kept Dafa busy under the goalposts.

At the 12th minute, the team coached by Nova Arianto managed to take the lead 1-0.

Starting from a attack on the left wing, Alberto. He passed the ball to Evandra.

Evandra delivered a cross into the penalty box, which was then parried by the Zambian goalkeeper.

However, the ball fell to Zahaby Gholy's feet. The Persija player then took a shot that tore through Zambia's net.

Score 1-0 for the victory of Indonesia U17 National Team.

After the goal, the teams of Nova and Ian Bakala exchanged attacks.

So far, Zambia has looked convincing in their counter-attack scheme. Their players' movements are very fast, including when they are in the final third of the field, with proper player positioning and looking for space.

The movement made Dafa stumble to secure the ball.

In addition, Zambian players often make cross passes towards the far post and are then headed by their teammate who moves from behind the national team player.

In several occasions, Zambian players have taken advantage of the opportunities, but none have resulted in a goal yet.

While Nova's players seemed to start losing focus, Gholy and his teammates often lost the ball when entering the half-field.

Zambia's efforts to equalize the situation bore fruit in the 35th minute.

Indeed, from a well-organized and neat counterattack. A pass from Mapolo Simute on the right flank was intercepted by Abel Nyirongo, who was unmarked in the penalty box by Indonesian U17 national team players.

Zambia even managed to turn the situation around in just two minutes.

Nova's ward lost the ball in the middle of the field. The ball then passed from foot to foot of Zambian players until it was obtained by Abel Nyirongo.

Abel took a shot from outside the penalty box aimed at the left side of the Indonesia U17 national team's goal, but it was not reached by Dafa.

Zambia extended their lead in the 42nd minute.

Starting from an individual player's mistake of losing the ball, the Indonesian national team was immediately punished by Zambia, who played very quickly and effectively.

Lukondo Mwale, who was in the center of the penalty area, headed the ball from a cross by his teammate Chipelu on the right wing. A scenario almost identical to the first goal.

Until the halftime break, Zambia maintained a 1-3 lead over the Indonesia U17 National Team.

At the start of the second half, Nova made two player substitutions at once.

Fabio and Zahaby Gholy came out to be replaced by Algazani and Dimas Adi.

The entry of the two players has not yet made a significant impact, at least until the 55th minute.

Indonesia U17 national team still has difficulty breaking through Zambia's tight and disciplined defense.

At the 56th minute, Mierza had a chance to reduce the deficit. He managed to steal the ball from the Zambian player.

But when facing the goalkeeper one-on-one, Mierza's shot was saved by Chitambala.

At the 61st minute, the Indonesian national team received a penalty from the referee after Zambia's player Mwape tripped Evandra Florasta in the 16-yard box.

But unfortunately, the opportunity was canceled by the referee after checking through VAR at the side of the field.

No contact from the Zambian player, Evandra is considered to have dived and received a yellow card from the referee.

The tension of the game slightly decreased after that. The intensity of Zambia's attacks was not as strong as they were when they were behind at the start of the first half.

It is even more likely to lose the ball on several occasions, which made the national team players create chances until the 70th minute.

At the 80th minute, Mierza missed a golden opportunity for the second time in this match. This time, after receiving a through pass from Evandra in the penalty area.

Poor control, combined with Zambia's player pressing, caused Mierza to lose the opportunity.
