- The EY victim was found on Saturday (1/11/2025) afternoon after the victim's colleague became suspicious because they could not reach him for two days.

The devious plan of Bripda Waldi, who killed his ex-girlfriend, a lecturer in Jambi, then pretended to be shocked and expressed grief.
Korban is a lecturer at the Institute of Religion and Health (IAK) Setih Setio Muaro Bungo, Jambi.
One day after the tragic event, Bripda Waldi was known to have still sent a condolences message to the victim's family.
His actions seemed to show deep sorrow, yet he is suspected of being the perpetrator behind his ex-girlfriend's death.
Bripda is an abbreviation for Brigadier Police Two, the lowest rank in the Indonesian National Police's NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) hierarchy.
This rank is the initial rank received by students after graduating from police education, such as in the National Police School (SPN).
His rank is marked by a single silver triangle.
A conversation between Waldi and the victim's brother, Anis, which spread on social media, reveals how the perpetrator tried to cover up the heinous act by pretending to grieve.
In the screenshot of the conversation shared by the Instagram account @jambihits, a message from Anis to Waldi is visible.
She wrote, "Mbak Erni is no longer here. Sorry for Mbak Erni's mistakes, sir."
In response to the message, Waldi pretended not to understand by replying, "What do you mean, kak?" as if he had not yet known that the victim had died.
When Anis told him that his older brother died due to a robbery, Waldi replied with a condolences message, as if truly empathizing with the incident.
Seriusan kak, Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rojiun. Turut berduka cita kak, tidak menyangka kami ini kak.
Recently, the police investigation uncovered a surprising fact — the perpetrator of the murder that occurred the night before was actually Bripda Waldi himself.
From the examination results, Waldi was found to have also taken some belongings of the victim, namely a mobile phone, a PCX motorcycle, and EY's personal car.
This act of pretending not to know and sending fake condolences has triggered public anger.
The post containing the conversation went viral on social media, accompanied by a sharp and strongly critical caption.
Feigning surprise, although he is the one who killed.
Capable of Misleading the Investigation
Bungo Regency Police Chief, AKBP Natalena Eko Cahyono, stated that the perpetrator had attempted to mislead the investigation.
The alert perpetrator steals the life and honor of his victim.
Natalena described the perpetrator's actions as brutal.
"this perpetrator is cruel and brutal," said AKBP Natalena.
According to him, the initial examination results showed signs of severe violence on the victim's body.
He added that the perpetrator is also suspected of carefully preparing his actions, including efforts to avoid security camera surveillance.
"this perpetrator uses a wig, fake hair, to go in and out of the house. This is to deceive the CCTV and residents. So what is seen is a person with long hair," explained Natalena.
According to him, Waldi tried to make the case look like a robbery.
"Perpetrator tried to deceive that the victim was a victim of a robbery who was killed, so his identity could not be detected," said AKBP Natalena on Monday (11/3/2025).
To strengthen the scenario, the perpetrator stole the victim's phone, vehicle, and jewelry.
"Indeed, the perpetrator is very alert and cruel, because the victim's condition was very pitiful," said Natalena.
The police chief stated that the case was uncovered after residents reported the discovery of EY's body.
A special team was then formed and the crime scene was processed.
"With the existence of a special team, we have set a target to uncover this case," he said.
The victim's mobile data was also traced, including their communication with close people.
The investigation led to a person with long hair.
From the investigation of communications and technical evidence, the police began to suspect Waldi, who turned out to be a member of the Indonesian National Police.
When examined, he initially admitted that he was not in Bungo, but the phone location tracking results contradicted his statement.
As the investigation pointed towards him, Waldi appeared increasingly anxious.
"His anxiety began when he was examined," said the Police Chief.
After intensive examination, Waldi finally confessed and showed the place where he had hidden the victim's belongings, including the Honda Jazz car parked about 300 meters from his rented house and the PCX motorcycle stored in the parking area of RS H Hanafie Muaro Bungo.
Case Status
So far, only one suspect has been identified, but the police are still investigating the possibility of other perpetrators.
EY was found on Saturday (1/11/2025) afternoon after the victim's companion became suspicious because they could not reach him for two days.
The body of EY has been buried in his hometown, Kuamang Kuning.
At Mapolres Bungo, flower arrangements from various parties can be seen filling the premises as an appreciation for the rapid resolution of the case.
Bripda Waldi is certain to face severe punishment, both criminal and ethical.
The police chief emphasized that there will be an Unhonorable Dismissal (PTDH) sanction.
"Two laws are applied ... we will likely carry out the police code of conduct, namely PTDH (Involuntary Termination), that is clear," said AKBP Natalena.
Initial Motif & Victim's Wound
Temporary assumption, the perpetrator's motive is related to a failed romantic relationship.
Waldi was once in a relationship with the victim, but was rejected when he tried to get close again.
The police ensure that the handling remains transparent.
"Items seized include a white Honda Jazz, a red PCX motorcycle, and the victim's mobile phone," explained the Police Chief.
EY is reported to have lost contact for two days before being found dead on the bed and covered with a bedsheet.
Tim Inafis evacuated the body to RSUD H Hanafie for further examination.
Kasatreskrim AKP Ilham Tri Kurnia stated "Several signs of violence on the victim's body...".
The discovery of the body of EY, a lecturer at the Institute of Religion and Health (IAK) Setih Setio Muaro Bungo, began when his colleagues became suspicious because the victim did not attend classes for two days and could not be contacted.
They then approached the victim's house, which was locked.
Neighbors helped open the house door.
After being attacked, the victim was found lying on the bed with her face covered by a pillow.
The discovery was immediately reported to Bungo Regency Police.
Inafis officers along with investigators then conducted a crime scene examination and took the body to RSUD H Hanafie for examination.
The initial results showed signs of violence on the victim's body.
"Some signs of violence on the victim's body. The exact cause will be determined after the complete autopsy results," explained AKP Ilham Tri Kurnia, the head of the Criminal Investigation Unit.

"Ecchymosis was found on the entire face, and there is a lump on the back of the head measuring approximately 13 x 10 centimeters," said Dr. Sepriadi after the examination on Saturday afternoon.
In addition to the bruise on the neck suspected to be caused by a blunt or sharp object, the medical team also found indications of sexual violence.
