Man Charged After School Bus Crash Injures Child in Auckland
A 66-year-old man has been accused of involvement in a bus accident on Auckland's North Shore that resulted in injuries to a child earlier this month.
A 12-year-old received moderate injuries when a bus collided with a planter box, causing the object to strike the youth, in Torbay on May 12th.
The fellow has been charged with reckless driving and will likely show up at the courthouse later this week.
Earlier, Auckland Transport (AT) verified that the bus involved belonged to their contractor Ritchies and was being used as a school bus.
The second individual has been charged in connection with a bus accident in Auckland this month, which involved a bus operated by Ritchies.
Last week, a 59-year-old individual faced charges related to a bus accident in Pahurehure within South Auckland that left five students wounded.
AT and Ritchies have both been asked for their input.
