Man Opens Plane Emergency Exit for "Fresh Air," Sparks Shock Worldwide

A China When Eastern Airlines Flight landed, chaos ensued as a passenger abruptly opened an emergency exit, stating they needed "some fresh air."
The video captures the result of a sudden incident where a male traveler pulled the emergency lever, causing the escape chute to deploy while Flight MU5828 was moving along the runway upon arriving in Kunming from Changsha on May 11th.
Based on accounts from those who saw him, the man seemed composed yet mentioned to others that he opened the door just to get some fresh air.
However, his strange behavior apparently led to confusion inside the aircraft, and travelers were kept from leaving the plane for approximately 20 minutes as staff handled the incident.
Although nobody was injured, the individual, characterized as a young man, was taken off the aircraft by law enforcement for additional interrogation, as stated by NeedToKnow.
The aircraft departed from Changsha, China, and landed at Kunming Changshui International Airport approximately at 8:42 am on May 11th.
In China, opening an emergency exit on an airplane can result in a substantial fine ranging from approximately $19,500 to more than $37,600, varying based on the type of aircraft and specific situation.
In March 2022, an incident involving a China Eastern Airlines flight led to one of the most fatal air accidents ever recorded in China.



The internal flight departed from Kunming Changshui International Airport heading towards Guangzhou but unfortunately crashed en route, resulting in the deaths of all 132 people aboard including both passengers and crew members.
However, the emergency exit fiasco from this week isn't the sole strange occurrence to happen recently up in the air.
Earlier this year, a The United Airlines flight heading to Shanghai had to be redirected back to California three hours after departure as the pilot realized they had left their passport behind. .
In March, UA Flight 198 departed from Los Angeles International Airport at 1:44 pm PDT and was set to arrive at Shanghai Pudong International approximately 14 hours later. However, the pilot realized an enormous error during the flight.
The aircraft was rerouted back to California and touched down in San Francisco shortly after 5 pm, according to flight records monitored on FlightAware.
The passengers aboard the Boeing 787-9 eventually departed for Shanghai at approximately 9 pm and landed shortly after midnight, just before 12:30 am local time.
United organized a new team to transport the 257 passengers to Shanghai and offered them meal vouchers along with compensation for the disruption, according to a statement from a media representative.
The aircraft ultimately touched down at its intended location with a delay of six hours, affecting several travelers' arrangements.



A traveler en route for work purposes informed CNN that they were compelled to rearrange their schedule for Monday following the substantial delay.
Another traveler mentioned they needed to drive an additional two hours upon arriving in Shanghai, which left them utterly drained.
Yang Shuhan, who was also aboard the aircraft, mentioned that the pilot communicated his awkward error via the intercom and seemed to be 'quite annoyed.'
Yang informed CNN that she was given two meal vouchers worth $30 in total to be used for a meal at the San Francisco airport.
