Fungus Threat Grows as Dangerous Pathogen Rapidly Spreads Across Europe

A hazardous fungus is rapidly proliferating throughout Europe as worldwide temperatures keep increasing.
The progressively warmer and more humid climate is fostering optimal circumstances for the proliferation of fungi-caused illnesses, with the newest danger arising from Aspergillus fungi, which can be hazardous to both humans and animals.
According to Norman van Rhijn, A recent study on this topic was co-authored by an expert who states that the shifting climate facilitates the growth of these fungi.
The study warns that Aspergillus species can cause severe infections in humans, livestock, and crops.
“ Filamentous fungi from the genus Aspergillus serve as an ideal illustration of a pathogen capable of infecting across different kingdoms. According to the study, it says. These organisms can infect humans, various mammals, birds, honeybees, and even corals. They damage crops both pre- and post-harvest, rendering them unfit for consumption because they produce mycotoxins. ."
