Bernie Sanders Defends Private Jet Use on ' Fight Oligarchy' Tour: What's Behind the Wait?

He went on, 'That’s the only method available. No excuses here; this is part of campaigning. It’s something we’ve done before, and we’ll continue doing it in the future.'

The comments were made following federal election commission documents revealing that Sanders' campaign committee, Friends of Bernie Sanders, expended over $221,000 on private jet services in the initial three months of 2025, as reported by Fox News. report .

The journey was part of the prominent "Fighting Oligarchy" initiative. tour Sanders launched with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) as a reply to the Trump administration, the outlet added.

"Some of these trips involved Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez using a privately chartered jet that cost as much as $15,000 per hour for multiple stops on the West Coast during their 'Fighting Oligarchy' tour," according to the report.
