Recently, Bank Windhoek has launched an advanced handheld Point-of-Sale (POS) device tailored explicitly to improve payment processing for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The bank states that this innovative payment solution aims to simplify SME operations, enhance user experience, and enable smooth transactions anytime, anywhere.

Leon Koch, who serves as the Executive Officer for Business Banking at Bank Windhoek and also acts as the Executive Officer for Retail Banking Services, mentioned that the introduction of the Bank Windhoek EasyPOS aims to provide businesses, particularly mobile ones lacking permanent addresses, with the ability to process transactions around the clock from virtually anywhere.

"The Bank Windhoek EasyPOS enables customers to provide convenient payment options to their clientele, regardless of location," he stated.

Bank Windhoek EasyPOS is offered to eligible small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients whose yearly revenue does not surpass NAD 5 million. These attributes guarantee seamless payment operations across nearly all environments.

This payment solution is specifically aimed at crucial segments within the SME sector, including Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) which covers well-established retailers as well as pop-up sales locations; Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), making it easier for them to accept payments through delivery services; and Transportation services, allowing taxis and buses operating across urban areas to collect fares," stated Koch, adding that the Bank Windhoek EasyPOS has already been implemented.
